Commercial Cool Roof Coatings:
Elastomeric Coatings-
are liquid applied, fully adhered, "rubber-like" protective
membranes. They can be applied as part of a roof or wall system
during the construction stage, in retrofit or as a maintenance
application. Both primer and finish coats can be spray applied to
ensure quick application, consistent appearance and a durable
finish. Reduce your energy costs with our Energy Star-labeled
elastomeric coatings that reflect up to 90% of the heat from the
sun. This heat reduction saves your roof by limiting thermal shock
and extends its useful life.
Urethane
Coatings-Urethane is also known as
thermoplastic polyurethane. Urethane is a thermoplastic elastomeric
(TPE) that combines the positive properties of rubber and plastic.
Aliphatic urethane does not degrade in ultraviolet light and it
delivers greater visual clarity. Mixed with Titanium
Dioxide this material creates an Energy-Star rated roof coating that
reflects up to 90% of sunlight. It holds up under pooling
water and direct sunlight.
Silicone
Coatings-are
single-component, moisture-curing silicone rubber roof coating
systems designed for use on sprayed-in-place polyurethane foam or
other roof surfaces.
These coatings can be spray-applied or hand-rolled if the job is
small enough. Smallest repairs can be applied with a paint brush.
Silicones are inorganic by nature and thus imperceptible to UV
radiation. Unlike almost any other coating, silicone coatings do not
contain UV stabilizers. Especially lower cost systems may not
contain enough UV stabilizers, with resulting short service lives
often not even exceeding five years. Properly applied, silicones may
last for 20 years and more. Also, silicones cure fast. In case of
changing weather, even heavy rain on coatings as new as 1 hour will
not cause runoff. By comparison, many acrylics truly require a
minimum of 24 hours between application and the first rain.
Silicones offer excellent tensile strength and elongation and
perform well in extremely cold as well as very hot weather. Many
customers broadcast granules into the freshly applied silicones for
an even tougher roof.
New Metal Roofing-
We
also furnish and install new metal roofs over existing BUR's,
shingle roofs, or replacement of existing metal building roofs. We
are a member of the BBB and the National Roofing Contractors
Association.
